This book exceeded all my expectations. I expected it to be just a sweet rom- com story, but it's so much more. Olivia a horror movie fanatic and an aspiring screenplay writer blows her opportunity in getting into NYU because of her procrastination and low self Esteem issues. As all her Girlfriends at her Brooklyn high school announce their summer Adventures , Olivia's plan is to binge watch horror movies and chat with her online friend Elm. Carrie and elm their respective Reddit handle usernames have never shared much personal details about each other except share their mutual love for horror movies. Then one day Elm sends Olivia his selfie and pushes her to share one too.   In a moment of panic Olivia sends a selfie of her gorgeous best friend Katie, assuming she's never gonna meet him in real Life.  But thing's get super complicated when Olivia is sent to do a zip lining internship by her mother and she runs into none other than Elm whose real name is Jake. Shocked to her very core, Olivia tries to hide her secret as she soon becomes good friends with Jake.  Will Olivia confess everything or Will Jake find out the truth?  This book is so full of wisdom , I personally could relate so much with Olivia, being a big time procrastinator myself, and understood how one has to be honest with themselves and love themselves in order to have a steady friendship or relationship. How when we don't love ourselves enough we end up putting our life and those that love us in jeopardy.  I realised how often do we sabotage our own careers and relationships just because we're scared we'll fail.  I loved it wasn't just about love or romance but about career , family and friendship. One of my best reads this year, I literally consumed it in just one sitting. I absolutely recommend this book.
